23 Jan Report: Mooy to make EPL stay permanent in bargain deal
Aaron Mooy will reportedly remain at Brighton and Hove Albion on a permanent basis.
Mooy, currently on loan from Huddersfield United, is set to sign for the Seagulls with the Telegraph reporting a £5 million ($9.5m) deal is in the works.
The report says Brighton is looking to make the Socceroo’s stay permanent to avoid a bidding war amongst rival Premier League clubs.
Huddersfield splurged a club-record £8m – potentially rising to £10m – on the Australian midfielder in 2017 but was loaned to Brighton after they were relegated from the Premier League last season.
Mooy, 29, has two goals and an assist in 17 Premier League appearances this campaign.
Brighton sit two points above the relegation zone in 15th position.
