Welcome one and all to the new look Football Nation!
Welcome back, or for those of you who are new to us, welcome…as we embark on what promises to be another exciting season in the Hyundai A-League.
It’s been noted just how active all clubs have been through the recent transfer window, and with the calibre of both Australian born and overseas talent heading our way this season it’s clear we are in for some fantastic football.
A few month ago sports media and content provider Crocmedia signed a massive 6 year, 5 season deal for the exclusive commercial radio rights with the Football Federation of Australia, and thus…Football Nation (formerly A-League LIVE) was born.
As Executive Producer to this coverage, I couldn’t be any more excited about our involvement in helping the game grow and taking our coverage out to not only our bustling capital cities, but to the regional parts of Australia and NZ for so long starved of consistent and quality A-League coverage. We have already assembled a fantastic team of renowned footballing experts to join us in calling the action throughout season 2017/18…with more names to be added as our match calls are distributed into additional radio markets right across Australia and New Zealand.
Clint Bolton, Steve McGarry, Adam Kwasnik, Rocky Visconte and Daniel McBreen are already locked in and will all add their views, insights and footballing knowledge to our calls, whilst also featuring prominently in our Sportsday radio programs mid-week which air across Victoria, NSW, QLD, Sth Australia and Western Australia.
We look forward to bringing you, our listeners, as much of the action this season as possible, to spread the gospel of football, to encourage existing and new fans to the games, to get out there and grab a club membership, because simply, “You Gotta Have a Team”…and to promote the amazing initiatives your football club is implementing on a weekly basis.
