Melbourne Victory & Brisbane Roar both looking for first win.

“The Victory have not been playing bad football, they’ve actually been playing great football.

“It’s just that final third. They haven’t seen the back of the net as much as they’d like to but this will be an interesting game.”

Can Melbourne City rebound after their loss to Sydney FC?

“I’m going to be looking to see if City actually bounce back.

“Because I think a quality team, or a championship team is not when they are winning. They are worthy of their position.

“(Bruce) Kamau, (Nick) Fitzgerald have been phenomenal and (Ross) McCormack has been an excitement machine. We’ve seen what he’s done in the UK, he’s bringing it here to our league which is great.”

The Newcastle Jets are flying!

“I don’t think they can hide anymore. There’s been a lot of talk about Ernie (Merrick) coming in and what he’s done for that Jets team.

“I think this Jets team can’t fly under the radar anymore.”

This weekend, Football Nation will cover 4 of the 5 matches with Friday’s Mariners v Sydney derby also available to stream online here at myfootballnation.com.
