Arzani makes long-awaited comeback from injury

After 15 months on the sidelines, Daniel Arzani is back.

Arzani, 21, made a nine-minute substitute appearance in Celtic’s 2-1 Scottish Cup win against Partick Thistle over the weekend.

It’s been a long road back for the Socceroos winger after tearing his anterior crucial ligament during his debut for the Scottish giants.

Arzani replaced Australian teammate Tom Rogic on 78 minutes having played a key role in Celtic’s second goal, setting up Callum McGregor to seal their passage into the fifth round.

Celtic resume league duties against Kilmarnock on Thursday morning AEDST. The reigning champions are two points clear of Rangers who have a game in hand.
