Victory confirm Rojas swoop

Marco Rojas has re-joined Melbourne Victory on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Rojas, who’s had two prior stints with the Victory, returns after spells with Dutch club SC Heerenveen and Danish side SønderjyskE.

“Melbourne Victory holds a special place in my heart,” Rojas told melbournevictory.com.au.

“I’m really looking forward to getting back out there and playing in front of the fans again because they really do create a special atmosphere.

“I think we’ve got a good squad and I’m looking forward to getting on the pitch and connecting with the guys.

“I want to help contribute to the team performances and help push the team back up the ladder.”

The New Zealand international will look to add to his 28 goals in 75 appearances for the A-League powerhouse.

Rojas, 28, won a Johnny Warren Medal during his first stint with the club in 2013.

It’s understood Kristijan Dobras' release opened up a visa spot for Rojas’ arrival.
